2027 Summer Intern, Program Delivery

Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA or San Diego, CA. The 10-week full-time internship begins in early June 2027. Relocation and housing assistance are not provided.

Pay: $23 per hour for undergraduate students and $28 per hour for graduate students. The listed full-time employment pay range is $37,855–$77,869.

What you will do

• Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and documentation of utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.
• Research market trends, customer segments, competitive landscapes, energy efficiency equipment, and market opportunities.
• Coordinate with Sales, Account Management, Engineering, Marketing, IT, Customer Care, and program implementation teams.
• Prepare reports, schedules, meeting minutes, client presentations, technical specifications, calculations, and actionable recommendations.
• Support communications with contractors, customers, consultants, service providers, and participating Trade Allies.
• Track contractor enrollment, support field-based staff, resolve or escalate participation concerns, and help maintain QA/QC standards.

Requirements

• At least 30 completed college-level credit hours by the start date, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Project Management, Energy Management, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent work authorization is required.
• Ability to pass required background checks, which may include drug screening.
• Strong organizational, time management, prioritization, attention-to-detail, written, verbal, analytical, and collaborative communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Completed bachelor’s degree or enrollment in a relevant graduate program.
• Experience with program coordination, documentation, research, data collection, market analysis, or sales planning.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, or VBA.
• Interest in energy efficiency, market research, and sales strategy; familiarity with HVAC, water heating, space heating, kitchen equipment, or lighting technologies.
