Director of Finance (Medtech)

Location: Hybrid in Toronto or Waterloo, Canada; remote work is also available

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 CAD base salary per year, with potential equity

hirify.global is a senior care technology company developing camera-free sensors that detect falls and track sleep, health, and wellness for older adults.

What you will do

• Own a reliable monthly close and consolidated reporting across entities in Canada and China.
• Build and maintain forecasts connecting sales, inventory, and cash.
• Manage landed cost, COGS, inventory planning, and supply chain costing for overseas-built hardware.
• Lead financial modeling, data-room preparation, and investor reporting for the next raise.
• Prepare audited annual financials and manage relationships with auditors and tax advisors.
• Establish controls covering approvals, spending, and intercompany activity.

Requirements

• CPA qualification with an audit background and progressive experience in a product or technology company.
• Hands-on ownership of the financial close and financial modeling process.
• Experience with inventory, COGS, and supply chain costing.
• Experience with multi-entity or international consolidation is strongly preferred.
• Experience working with investors, a board, or lenders, or readiness to take on those responsibilities.
• Ability to explain financial information clearly and make decisions with incomplete information.
