Senior Propulsion Durability and Verification Specialist (Aerospace)

hirify.global develops commercial propulsion systems and operates a Propulsion Validation & Verification department in Toulouse.

What you will do

• Drive verification strategies and critically evaluate Engine Development Plans for product development and technology maturation.
• Define ground and flight test needs, instrumentation, test readiness, and flight clearances.
• Perform qualitative and numerical analyses of powerplant component durability, reliability, and degradation mechanisms.
• Coordinate Time on Wing analyses and forecast Mean Time Between Unit Removals.
• Investigate in-service and production issues for integrity, reliability, and safety assessments.
• Upskill propulsion engineering teams in engine durability, reliability analysis, and verification.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 10 years of propulsion engineering experience at a major aero engine manufacturer.
• Experience in aero engine verification and testing, including subsystem rig, full-scale ground, and flight testing.
• Knowledge of validation and verification methods and design assurance and certification processes, including CS-E and CS-25.
• Detailed understanding of engine removal causes, hot-section durability drivers, and mechanical failure mechanisms such as CMAS, TMF, LCF/HCF, and creep.
• Experience evaluating Time on Wing using detailed lifing models and statistical approaches.
