Flight Authorization & Certification Engineer (6 Month Fixed-Term Contract (CDD))

What you will do

• Coordinate activities required to obtain flight authorizations for European operations.
• Interpret applicable regulations, standards, and operational requirements and translate them into practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare flight authorization submissions, safety assessments, technical evidence, and regulatory documentation.
• Conduct operational and technical risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to meet aviation and launch safety criteria.
• Coordinate vehicle, payload, flight readiness, technical reviews, and Flight Readiness Reviews across engineering and operations teams.
• Manage regulatory actions, project milestones, technical deliverables, and relationships with authorities, partners, and test site operators.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience translating technical or regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, safety cases, or regulatory submissions.
• Ability to coordinate technical and project activities across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple workstreams.
• Structured approach to solving complex engineering problems with strong organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in flight authorization, certification, or regulatory compliance.
• Background in airworthiness, systems safety, safety assurance, flight testing, or flight operations.
• Experience with verification, validation, qualification, systems engineering, or technical project coordination.
• Experience working with aviation or space regulatory frameworks.
