What you will do
- Plan, prepare, and lead flight-test campaigns for high-performance unmanned aerial systems from prototype through mature configurations.
- Write test plans, test cards, risk assessments, and safety cases; conduct range operations and make go/no-go decisions.
- Coordinate with range authorities, airspace regulators, and military test centres to secure approvals and test slots.
- Define instrumentation, analyse flight data, produce test reports, and lead anomaly and root-cause investigations.
- Build tools and scripts for post-flight analysis and maintain structured test databases.
- Collaborate with Avionics, Software, GNC, Mechanical, and Product teams on qualification, customer demonstrations, military exercises, and operator training.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of flight-test experience on UAS, fixed-wing or rotary-wing aircraft, or guided munitions.
- Experience writing test plans and leading field-based test campaigns.
- Understanding of flight dynamics, flight-control systems, aircraft performance, telemetry, ground-control stations, and onboard data logging.
- Strong data-analysis, organisational, communication, and hardware-troubleshooting skills, with a safety-first mindset.
- Fluent English required; French is a plus.
Nice to have
- Drone pilot certification.
- Experience with military test ranges, DGA or equivalent national test centres, live-fire or counter-UAS trials.
- Former military service in aviation, air defense, or UAS units.
- Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, flight-log tools, simulation, or HITL environments.
