Procurement Specialist (EPC Procurement)

Location: Tianjin, China; the China-based integrated project team works from the EPC contractor's main resource center.

hirify.global provides project management services for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of Sonangol's Lobito Refinery Project in Angola.

What you will do

• Oversee procurement activities performed by the EPC contractor and verify compliance with contractual requirements and specifications.
• Review procurement status reports, purchase orders, forecast dates, and delivery schedules against the project schedule.
• Monitor material control systems from purchase order through field receipt, including storage and status tracking.
• Coordinate vendor approvals, guarantees, warranties, logistics, quality assurance, progress measurement, records, and reporting.
• Define and conduct owner inspections for critical equipment and materials, including witnessing performance testing.
• Coordinate with the owner, EPC inspection manager, project controls, and project management teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7 or more years of directly related progressive experience; 15 or more years may substitute for formal education.
• Fluent Chinese and English required.
• Ability to work from Tianjin, China during engineering, procurement, and construction/commissioning planning phases.
• Experience coordinating with international resource centers and project stakeholders.
