Mechanical Engineer II (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States. Hybrid schedule with onsite work Monday through Thursday and the option to choose the work location on Fridays. Overnight domestic travel may be required, estimated at 10%.

Annual base salary: $65,200–$118,860.

What you will do

• Design commercial HVAC equipment and systems for the Trane Commercial Systems business.
• Develop concepts for new and improved commercial HVAC products and solve complex technical problems.
• Gather, document, understand, and prioritize internal and external customer requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to meet performance, reliability, cost, and schedule objectives.
• Create and maintain 3D models, bills of materials, drawings, specifications, and other engineering documentation.
• Conduct design FMEAs and develop and execute risk mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least two years of engineering experience in product design, validation testing, and/or root cause analysis.
• Experience applying technical expertise to design problems and evaluating product suitability for different applications.
• Ability to deliver technical designs that meet project and product requirements.
