Director, AI Infrastructure Communications (AI)

Location: US; must be based on the West Coast

Salary: $170,000–$300,000 USD base salary, with potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

Nscale is a hyperscaler building vertically integrated AI infrastructure and modular data centers for enterprise AI training, fine-tuning, and inference across Europe, North America, and beyond.

What you will do

• Partner with AI Infrastructure leaders to understand strategy, priorities, and milestones.
• Develop consistent internal and external narratives for Nscale’s AI infrastructure business.
• Translate complex technical work into clear communications for engineering, media, employees, and business audiences.
• Advise leaders on internal communications, including communications during periods of change and other high-stakes situations.
• Lead media relations, customer and partner announcements, site and deployment news, press materials, blog posts, social content, op-eds, and briefing materials.
• Track communications impact and provide insights from employees, media, and the market to business leaders.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of communications experience, ideally spanning internal and external communications.
• Experience communicating for an AI infrastructure, cloud, data center, semiconductor, or deep-tech business.
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to explain complex infrastructure topics to non-technical audiences.
• Track record of securing coverage in technical, trade, and tier-one business media, with relevant reporter relationships.
• Experience managing joint customer and partner announcements and advising senior business leaders.
• Exceptional writing, editing, project management, prioritization, and hands-on execution skills.

Nice to have

• Experience at a hyperscaler, neocloud, or GPU cloud provider.
• Experience with physical infrastructure and field-based teams.
• Experience at a company going through or preparing for an IPO.
• Fluency with AI tools for communications work.
