What you will do

  • Own manufacturing processes and scale interceptor production from early development builds to high-rate production.
  • Define assembly sequences, process flows, station requirements, tooling needs, and manufacturing controls.
  • Create and maintain work instructions, build travelers, inspection requirements, and configuration-controlled production documentation.
  • Partner with design engineering on DFMA, assembly access, tolerances, tooling, inspection, testability, and producibility.
  • Develop PFMEAs and translate manufacturing risks into prevention measures, inspection points, and process controls.
  • Support technicians and cross-functional teams with build issues, operator training, nonconformances, root-cause investigations, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, electrical, industrial, aerospace, or related engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience creating work instructions and process flows, interpreting engineering drawings and bills of material, and working with configuration-controlled documentation.
  • Practical experience with DFMA, PFMEA, manufacturing cost estimation, and structured root-cause analysis.
  • Experience developing or deploying tooling, fixtures, manufacturing equipment, or production test systems.
  • Experience with regulated quality environments, serialized hardware traceability, nonconformance and change-control processes, or manufacturing execution and ERP systems is valuable.
  • Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with SolidWorks, automated test equipment, or equipment supplier acceptance activities.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hands-on work directly with technicians and hardware.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with design, quality, test, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Substantial ownership of manufacturing capabilities and production scale-up.
  • Work focused on building complex electromechanical defense hardware.
