What you will do

• Investigate modern semiconductor devices such as SiC and GaN and evaluate innovative converter topologies.
• Model converter topologies and analyze circuit behavior using PLECS and LTSpice.
• Design and develop PCBs for power electronic prototypes, optimizing layouts for fast switching and low parasitic inductance.
• Assemble, test, and initially operate power electronic circuits in the laboratory.
• Compare simulation results with real-world measurements and validate design concepts.

Requirements

• Full-time enrollment in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related field.
• Understanding of power electronics components and inverter topologies.
• Practical experience in PCB design and layout, preferably with KiCAD.
• Experience or strong interest in circuit simulation with PLECS and LTSpice.
• Fluent English and German communication skills required.
• Proactive, curious, and analytical approach to problem-solving.
