Ground Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Donauwörth, Germany; on-site work at the hirify.global Helicopters test facility and airfield

hirify.global Helicopters Germany develops helicopters from initial concept through airworthy product and operates an on-site flight test center.

What you will do

• Organize, prepare, and perform ground tests on civil and military helicopters during development and certification.
• Lead ground test activities focused primarily on electromagnetic compatibility, with additional vibration and acoustic testing.
• Coordinate with chief engineering, project teams, prototype shops, design departments, and flight-test crews.
• Analyze and validate test data, conduct immediate debriefings, and prepare technical reports.
• Support aircraft troubleshooting, follow up on problem analysis, and provide testing expertise.
• Track technological developments in aircraft systems, functions, testing tools, and test equipment.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or communications engineering, or a relevant technical qualification.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in electrical or communications engineering, design, development, or a comparable technical field.
• Ability to undergo a security clearance, at least Ü2.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, resilience, adaptability, flexibility, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent German and English.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in avionics systems, radio systems, testing, or simulation tools.
