What you will do

• Migrate engine component characterization data into a scalable and maintainable database.
• Develop a GUI for engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to interact with the parameter database.
• Analyze historical engine operating data and load point predictions to identify trends, outliers, and data quality issues.
• Build data visualization tools and automated workflows for model calibration, validation, and engineering decisions.
• Define and evaluate test cases for orifice modelling assumptions.
• Conduct sensitivity studies on orifice design features and their impact on model performance and engine behavior.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an MSc program in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
• Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and propulsion systems.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, software development, and database implementation.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
• Strong analytical, structured, and data-driven problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborate in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent English communication skills and strong interest in New Space.

Nice to have

• GUI development experience with PyQt, Tkinter, Streamlit, Dash, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with rocket engine cycle analysis and propulsion system development.
• Exposure to real engine test data and component characterization.
• Practical experience with engineering software, database development, and model validation.
