Data Engineer - Data Platform & AI Enablement

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; primarily in-office work from the Prague office is required

What you will do

• Develop, test, and deploy scalable data pipelines in Snowflake using Python, Snowpark, and Apache NiFi.
• Generate metadata, track data lineage, and define data ownership within every pipeline.
• Transform raw data into curated assets using advanced SQL and support scalable dimensional data models.
• Monitor pipeline health, optimize complex queries, and tune Snowflake warehouse performance and costs.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to deliver actionable datasets for dashboards and AI applications.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or software development with a strong data focus.
• Strong Python skills and experience with, or willingness to learn, Snowflake Snowpark.
• Practical experience with Apache NiFi for data routing, transformation, and system mediation.
• Strong knowledge of advanced SQL, relational databases, and modern cloud data warehouses; Snowflake experience is preferred.
• Understanding of data modeling for analytical reporting and machine learning workloads, plus database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of data governance, including the importance of metadata, lineage, and ownership.
