Cloud Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Manage and optimize production Kubernetes clusters on GKE using Terraform.
• Design golden paths, automation strategies, and self-service infrastructure for development teams.
• Create infrastructure solutions that support safe, efficient application development and deployment.
• Provide technical expertise on Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes to internal teams.
• Support SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials compliance in cloud environments.
• Participate in a rolling on-call rota.

Requirements

• Extensive experience administering and optimizing large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes tooling, including Helm, kustomize, and GitOps methodologies such as ArgoCD.
• Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform, GKE, and production cluster maintenance.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
• Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience creating developer documentation and self-service solutions, with strong empathy for internal users.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS and CDK in a multi-cloud environment.
• Experience implementing or maintaining SOC2 and ISO-27001 compliance standards.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog.
• Experience applying security best practices to cloud infrastructure.
