Demand Planner (Retail)

Location: The Engine Room, London, UK; hybrid

What you will do

• Own the trading and performance analysis of core product categories, providing recommendations for sales and stock decisions.
• Maintain forecasts, planning orders, linecards, and category range plans, including new product launches.
• Partner with Product Development on range decisions, sales forecasts, initial order quantities, and launch checks.
• Propose phase-outs and markdowns, manage sale stock, and communicate stock actions across functions.
• Review store performance against floor plans, space, and product attributes to improve commercial displays.
• Manage and develop a Junior Demand Planner through training and ongoing support.

Requirements

• Experience operating at Merchandiser or Demand Planner level.
• Strong analytical, organisational, commercial, and time-management skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and a strong interest in systems.
• Confident communication and the ability to work across internal teams.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify issues and improve processes.
• People-management experience or the aptitude to guide and develop a junior team member.

Nice to have

• Experience with Power BI.
