TL;DR
Backend Engineer (Java): Building and evolving buyer-loyalty features such as Watch Collection, Wishlist, and user accounts for a global luxury-watch marketplace with an accent on Java, Spring, backend services, APIs, and cross-platform frontend changes. Focus on challenging product ideas, designing reliable production software, and integrating web, Android, or iOS interfaces when features require it.
Location: Remote. Work abroad is available for up to 20 days per year.

What you will do
- Build buyer-loyalty features including Watch Collection, Wishlist, and user accounts.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java and Spring.
- Implement frontend changes across web, Android, or iOS when required by a feature.
- Work with product management and UX to challenge ideas, simplify solutions, and make pragmatic technical decisions.
- Maintain reliable software in production and contribute to end-to-end ownership of the product area.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Java and its ecosystem, including testing, CI/CD, and production software operations.
- Experience with Spring, Maven or Gradle, SQL, and GitLab.
- Backend-oriented development experience with the ability to implement and confidently modify UI features.
- Frontend experience with at least one of Vue.js, Jetpack Compose, or SwiftUI.
- Ability to write maintainable code, evaluate trade-offs, and use AI coding tools critically.

- Experience setting up and improving an agentic coding environment.
