Senior Java Developer (E-Commerce)

Location: Remote in Germany and the EU; no office presence required

hirify.global develops accounting automation for e-commerce and SaaS companies, including billing and bookkeeping workflows.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain billing applications and invoice-generation features using Java 25.
• Architect highly concurrent, multi-threaded application logic focused on memory efficiency and system stability.
• Own infrastructure and DevOps tasks to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Optimize SQL and NoSQL databases, including Bigtable, for evolving data requirements.
• Design and maintain API integrations using standards such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Implement and manage cloud solutions, with GCP preferred.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience with strong Java expertise.
• Experience with AI coding tools and willingness to drive AI adoption in the development process.
• Proven experience with asynchronous environments and multi-threaded application logic.
• Experience owning infrastructure and ensuring system scalability and reliability.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Git, continuous deployment pipelines such as GitLab, agile planning, and code reviews.
