IT Field Engineer (6 Month Fixed Term)

Location: Stansted, United Kingdom; travel to various UK sites is required, including occasional stays away from home for several days or up to one week.

Salary: GBP £43,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide onsite and remote technical support to internal staff and external clients using Evolve.
• Troubleshoot incidents and service requests across IT systems and infrastructure.
• Install, configure, support, build, and prepare devices for deployment.
• Guide 1st Line IT Engineers, prioritise tickets, escalate issues, and collaborate with service desk and project teams.
• Deliver, collect, transport, and securely handle IT equipment for new starters, existing colleagues, new sites, and decommissioned locations.
• Report risks and cyber incidents, maintain documentation, and provide progress updates while working independently.

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
• Experience with Windows OS, Office 365, Azure, cloud-based infrastructure, Freshservice, ITILv4, DNS, and DHCP.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with colleagues at all business levels.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to drive long distances.
• Availability to attend UK sites at agreed times and stay away from home for several days when required.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing locations, schedules, and site-visit durations.
