What you will do

• Support the Managing Editor in delivering LBC’s editorial vision across radio, digital, video and on-demand platforms.
• Oversee daily live and on-demand output, including planning, resourcing and newsroom operations.
• Lead, coach and develop production teams while building a collaborative, creative and high-performing newsroom.
• Coordinate radio, digital, video and social content using audience insight and performance data to increase reach, listening and engagement.
• Support long-term editorial strategy, workflow improvements and content innovation.
• Maintain high editorial standards and compliance with Ofcom regulations and hirify.global’s editorial requirements.

Requirements

• Senior experience in broadcast news or journalism, including experience in a senior editorial position.
• Strong editorial judgement and the ability to make quick, informed decisions during breaking news and high-pressure situations.
• Experience leading teams, developing talent and influencing colleagues in a busy live newsroom.
• Experience creating or managing compelling radio, digital, video and social content.
• Operational expertise in managing newsroom priorities, production workflows and resources.
• Understanding of audience behaviour and the use of insight and data to improve content and drive growth.
