What you will do

• Lead a team of reporters covering the U.K. legal and business landscape.
• Set coverage priorities, assign stories, and plan staffing needs.
• Oversee reporting and editing decisions on complex stories.
• Guide rapid, effective responses to breaking news.
• Coach reporters and editors while maintaining high editorial standards.
• Coordinate coverage across newsroom teams and adjust priorities as news and resources change.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in journalism or a related field.
• 7–10 years of journalism experience.
• At least two years of management experience.
• Exceptional news judgment and communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Experience covering the legal industry.
