Business Analyst – Debt & Equity

Location: Onsite in Luxembourg, at client and partner sites within a European institutional environment.

What you will do

• Analyse business and operational processes and translate business needs into clear requirements.
• Work with business users, external stakeholders, and technical teams throughout transformation and digitalisation initiatives.
• Support the implementation of lending, debt, private equity, venture capital, and alternative investment products, processes, and controls.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing scenarios and validate delivered functionality against business requirements.
• Support user onboarding, rollout, adoption, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and operational activities.
• Investigate data quality issues and operational exceptions while contributing to process improvement and change management.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a financial-sector business analysis, operational, monitoring, process management, or related role.
• Relevant experience in either debt and lending institutions or equity, private equity, venture capital, alternative investments, or similar structures.
• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, Law, or a related field.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, end users, and external stakeholders.
• Experience with UAT, including test scenario preparation and validation of delivered functionality.
• Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and facilitation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing new financial products and working with portfolio management, middle-office, or reporting processes.
• Experience with change, digitalisation, or process modernisation initiatives.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks.
• Experience in international and multicultural environments.
• Knowledge of another European language, particularly Italian for some debt-related activities.
