TL;DR
Senior Software Engineer (Automated Warehouse): Developing and maintaining the Kardex WES platform that orchestrates complex warehouse operations with an accent on reliability, scalability, performance, and robust backend engineering. Focus on designing event-driven microservices and RESTful APIs, optimizing databases, resolving technical bottlenecks, and mentoring junior developers.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, with the office located in the Petaling Jaya area

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, review, and deploy software for the WES platform.
- Build and maintain solutions that orchestrate complex warehouse operations.
- Create detailed design documentation, technical specifications, and user guides.
- Identify and resolve technical debt and performance bottlenecks affecting reliability and throughput.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Expert proficiency in at least one of C#, Java, or Kotlin.
- Experience with relational databases, including MSSQL or PostgreSQL, schema design, and query optimization.
- Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs, event-driven microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker-based deployments, and Git version control.
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence, together with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, or Angular.
- Experience with Go or Python.
- DevOps experience and cloud deployment, preferably on Azure.
- Knowledge of automated warehouse systems such as WMS, WES, or WCS.
- Familiarity with MQTT or other low-latency communication protocols and message queues.
