Director, Low Voltage/Fiber Deployment EMEA

Location: Can be based in the United Kingdom or Ireland; regular travel to sites across EMEA, including the Nordics, is required.

What you will do

• Lead regional or global deployment programs for structured cabling, fiber backbones, low-voltage systems, and related physical infrastructure.
• Build and manage deployment managers, program managers, field engineers, contractors, and vendor partners.
• Own deployment plans, schedules, resource models, budgets, forecasts, executive reporting, and readiness activities.
• Coordinate with design, construction, network engineering, data center operations, supply chain, security, and commissioning teams.
• Establish deployment playbooks, quality controls, acceptance criteria, documentation, testing, and operational handoff processes.
• Lead live-site deployments and retrofits while managing safety, availability, quality, cost, vendor performance, and delivery risks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in physical infrastructure deployment, data centers, telecommunications, network construction, or other critical environments.
• 5+ years leading multi-site teams, contractors, vendors, or complex deployment programs.
• Deep knowledge of structured cabling, fiber-optic infrastructure, low-voltage systems, testing and certification, and cable-management standards.
• Experience managing vendor workforces, budgets, schedules, quality programs, construction, commissioning, change control, and operational handoff.
• Ability to lead safely in live production environments and balance speed, quality, cost, and availability.
• Strong executive communication, cross-functional leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with hyperscale cloud, AI/GPU infrastructure, or high-density data center deployments.
• Experience with fiber design, OTDR testing, splice management, MPO/MTP systems, and structured-cabling standards.
• Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC, and applicable local codes and safety requirements.
• Experience with deployment tooling, asset tracking, work-order systems, and dashboard-driven operations.
• Certifications such as RCDD, CFOT, PMP, or Lean/Six Sigma.
