Production Planner (Spector)

Location: Somerset, New Jersey, United States. Hybrid schedule: three days onsite and two days working from home; five days onsite during approximately three to six months of training. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $77,000–$103,000 annually, plus a bonus opportunity.

What you will do

• Own daily work order management in SAP, including release, prioritization, sequencing, monitoring, and closure.
• Build and adjust short-term production schedules based on real-time shop-floor conditions.
• Monitor open, in-process, and late work orders and drive completion and recovery actions.
• Re-prioritize work orders to address material shortages, rework, capacity constraints, and other execution risks.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Supervisors, Production Managers, Project Managers, and Supply Chain partners to resolve production issues.
• Act on MRP exception messages and support ECN and MRB implementation within active work orders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, or production control.
• Experience building and adjusting production schedules and owning work order execution.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MRP for material planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and manufacturing operations.
• Strong problem-solving, prioritization, communication, and schedule-recovery skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in complex electromechanical equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with low-volume, long-lead production.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, WIP control, and production flow.
