TL;DR
Data & AI Specialist (Manufacturing/AI): Developing factory data governance, architecture, analytics platforms, and AI applications with an accent on smart manufacturing, data quality, and operational decision support. Focus on integrating ERP, MES, IoT, and production data, deploying computer vision and predictive maintenance solutions, and establishing responsible GenAI governance.
Location: Wujiang, Jiangsu, China; onsite five days a week

manufactures construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, and diesel-electric locomotives for customers worldwide.
What you will do
- Establish factory data governance, data quality standards, ownership processes, and lifecycle management.
- Design manufacturing data models, master data standards, metadata practices, KPI definitions, and data flows.
- Integrate data from ERP, MES, quality, supply chain, production equipment, and IoT systems while supporting scalable data pipelines.
- Develop analytics platforms, data warehouse models, dashboards, and self-service reporting with enterprise BI tools.
- Identify and deploy manufacturing AI use cases including computer vision, automated quality inspection, predictive maintenance, process optimization, and safety monitoring.
- Drive GenAI adoption through knowledge bases, digital assistants, Copilot, workflow automation, and Power Platform applications while supporting AI governance and risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in data science, computer science, information systems, industrial or manufacturing engineering, artificial intelligence, statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, digital transformation, AI, or manufacturing systems.
- Experience implementing data governance programs and working with manufacturing data environments or industrial analytics solutions.
- Strong experience with data governance, master data management, data modeling, SQL, data warehousing, ETL/ELT, Power BI, Azure Data Platform, machine learning fundamentals, GenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and Power Platform.
- Knowledge of SAP/ERP, MES, IoT platforms, SCADA, and historian systems.
- Must work onsite in the office five days per week in Wujiang, Jiangsu, China. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- CDMP certification or DAMA data governance knowledge.
- Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, or equivalent cloud certifications.
- Experience with Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing, or AI deployment in manufacturing environments.
