TL;DR
Software Development Engineer (AI/Big Data): Developing data analytics tools, algorithms, and methodologies that translate manufacturing data into insights for factory yield and process engineering with an accent on machine learning, predictive modeling, and anomaly detection. Focus on analyzing complex manufacturing datasets, building data-driven solutions with Python or R, and supporting engineers across multiple projects.
Location: On-site in Chengdu, China, with an additional location in Kulim, Malaysia

What you will do
- Apply AI and big data technologies to manufacturing data.
- Develop data analytics tools, algorithms, and methodologies.
- Translate manufacturing data into insights for factory yield and process engineering problems.
- Support engineers across different manufacturing areas.
- Deliver results across multiple projects in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience with predictive modeling, pattern recognition, machine learning, clustering, dimensionality reduction, anomaly detection, or time series analysis.
- Experience with at least one data programming language or scripting environment, such as Python, R, or JMP.
- Familiarity with NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Strong technical problem-solving, analytical, communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work as a team member and quickly understand complex problems.
Nice to have
- Experience with SQL, Hadoop, or Spark.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry.
