Senior Systems Engineer (AI)

Location: National Capital Region, United States; fully onsite at a customer site

Salary: $190,000–$215,000 annually

What you will do

• Provide SME-level technical leadership across systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture.
• Lead the design of secure, resilient IT systems across multiple classification domains, including CSfC solutions and Top Secret enclave integration.
• Develop the enterprise migration approach to post-quantum cryptography in line with NSA CNSA 2.0 timelines.
• Evaluate and integrate artificial intelligence and data analytics capabilities for network operations, cyber defense, and decision support.
• Present technical options, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and client engineering staff.
• Mentor engineers and review designs, accreditation artifacts, and RMF security packages.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, plus 15+ years of progressive IT engineering experience.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Additional customer security eligibility and compatibility determinations must be completed successfully.
• Depth in at least three areas: systems engineering, network engineering, cybersecurity engineering, and enterprise architecture.
• Recent hands-on experience in at least two areas including CSfC or Trusted Integrator work, post-quantum cryptography migration, applied AI or machine learning, and enterprise data analytics.
• DoD 8140 Advanced proficiency for DCWF Security Architect or Enterprise Architect, applicable DoD 8570 compliance, and CISSP with ISSAP or ISSEP concentration or an equivalent qualification.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• INCOSE ESEP, Cisco CCIE or CCNP Security, ISC2 CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• NSA CSfC Trusted Integrator experience.
• Experience with presidential, special access program, or other high-consequence communications environments.
