Patient Education Specialist - RN or APP (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bethesda, Maryland, or remote within the United States with some in-person requirements.

Salary: $121,200–$201,900 annual base pay, plus eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Create microlearning videos and written patient instructions through research, topic identification, outlining, scripting, and content review.
• Review clinical guidelines and medical content to ensure accuracy, clarity, clinical relevance, and alignment with evidence-based standards.
• Support AI-assisted clinical content surveillance and human review of AI-generated or AI-recommended content.
• Recruit, onboard, and collaborate with clinical subject matter experts across the United States.
• Maintain the clinical content library and manage refresh and review protocols.
• Coordinate clinical content projects across SMEs, content, product, and engineering teams, while providing clinical guidance and mentorship.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN or APP (NP/PA) license and board certification in the relevant specialty.
• Current hands-on clinical practice and at least five years of clinical experience in the United States, including inpatient and outpatient or ambulatory settings.
• Clinical experience with Epic and/or Cerner, including assigning patient education in daily workflows.
• Experience or strong interest in AI-powered clinical or healthcare tools, plus project management, quality-control, and cross-functional communication skills.
• RN or APP degree from an accredited institution and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available, and relocation assistance is not offered.

Nice to have

• Prior clinical leadership experience, such as charge nurse, clinical supervisor, unit lead, or program lead.
• Willingness to appear on camera occasionally for content creation if located in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area.
