Senior Software Engineer (Rust)

What you will do

• Own the architecture and delivery of customer-facing Rust backend services supporting trading, payments, and crypto experiences.
• Lead ambiguous, multi-quarter initiatives from problem definition through launch, measurement, and user impact.
• Deliver features end-to-end while considering customer experience, frontend impact, and underlying product needs.
• Partner with product leadership to shape roadmaps, technical direction, outcomes, and success metrics.
• Drive cross-team initiatives across trading infrastructure, platform, and product engineering groups.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, establish standards, and define effective AI-assisted engineering practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience with deep Rust proficiency.
• Experience with network services, asynchronous code, distributed systems, RPC protocols, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
• Track record of making and owning production architecture decisions and explaining technical trade-offs.
• Product engineering experience spanning problem definition, implementation, launch, customer impact, and product metrics.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, writing technical guidance, or establishing team standards.
• Demonstrated ability to drive cross-team work, operate across backend and frontend boundaries, and use AI meaningfully in development.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience with React, TypeScript, or other frontend frameworks.
• Cryptocurrency or blockchain domain knowledge.
• Experience scaling consumer-focused products to a substantial user base.
• Experience introducing AI tooling or workflows to an engineering team.
