Product/Software Engineer (Node.js+React)

Location: Worldwide; remote, office-based, or hybrid work is available.

Salary: EUR 3,900–6,200 gross per month, depending on experience, location, and professional growth.

What you will do

• Develop and evolve approximately 40–50 Node.js/TypeScript microservices for a mature SaaS testing platform.
• Own features end to end, from clarifying business requirements and preparing test plans to production delivery and verification.
• Build Kafka-based event-driven flows with multiple consumers, idempotency, ordering guarantees, retries, dead-letter queues, replay, and transactional outbox patterns.
• Design cross-service data aggregation using GraphQL, REST microservices, BFF-style composition, sorting, filtering, and pagination.
• Develop React and TypeScript frontend features with GraphQL/Apollo, test changes independently, and review teammates’ pull requests.
• Use Claude Code in design, implementation, planning, and code review while taking full ownership of the resulting changes.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and microservice architectures.
• Experience with AWS, including ECS, SQS, and S3.
• Production experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, event-driven systems, delivery guarantees, idempotency, event ordering, failure handling, and data consistency.
• Hands-on experience with concurrency control, optimistic locking, conflict handling, transactional outbox, BFF/aggregation layers, DLQs, saga, and CQRS.
• Production experience with React and TypeScript, component architecture, state management, GraphQL/Apollo, frontend testing, and GraphQL-based service aggregation.
• Upper-Intermediate English or higher is required. Experience using Claude Code with skills, hooks, MCP, shared conventions, testing, and review of AI-generated changes is also required.

Nice to have

• Experience in product companies or small teams without dedicated QA.
• Experience with feature flags and phased rollouts, including LaunchDarkly or similar tools.
• Experience with JWT authorization, S3 pre-signed URLs, microservice-to-modular-monolith migrations, or Koa.
• Ability to read PHP code in a legacy monolith.
