Senior Software Engineer (Node.js)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; work-from-home options are available.

Salary: $130,500–$252,300 annually, varying by US geographic market, knowledge, position level, and experience.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain secure, high-quality code for interconnected credentialing applications and systems.
• Build software that helps credentialing specialists verify medical providers’ credentials and experience quickly and accurately.
• Deliver validated code supported by automated contract, unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers, and engineers on scalable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, communicate with distributed teams, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Node.js, TypeScript, relational databases, and API-driven systems using GraphQL and REST.
• Experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Camunda, or Pega.
• Experience in SaaS multi-tenant environments and modern JavaScript testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled SDD and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with NestJS and Jest.
• Experience with Apache Kafka or another distributed event-store or stream-processing platform.
• Experience with distributed tracing.
