NPD Telehandler Engineering Intern (Mechanical Design)

Location: Orrville, Ohio, United States; onsite work involving office, field, and production environments

Pay: $18.00–$37.00 per hour

What you will do

• Design, model, and test new mechanical systems for telehandlers and related equipment.
• Research and implement continuous improvements supporting manufacturing, supply chain, customer feedback, and operations.
• Prepare, revise, and review vehicle component layouts using CAD tools such as Creo Parametric.
• Create engineering change notices and update bills of materials in PLM and PDM systems.
• Support prototype, pilot, and production builds on the assembly floor and provide technical assistance.
• Perform engineering calculations and assist with complete vehicle and component testing.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work across office, field, and production environments, including walking, standing, climbing stairs, moderate lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to varying temperatures or noise.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or work-related experience.
• Experience or strong interest in mechanical design.
• Experience with Creo Parametric, Pro-E, CATIA, or a similar CAD system.
• Knowledge of steel and sheet metal fabrication, construction equipment, or SAE teams.
