Principal RF Components Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: On-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Only U.S. persons authorized to access export-controlled technology may be hired.

Salary: $219,161–$280,040 per year, plus potential long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Own RF flight components such as radios, power amplifiers, antennas, filters, and related hardware.
• Define specifications, select or design components, and manage their complete product lifecycle with RF Systems Engineering.
• Coordinate interface requirements with Flight Software, Structures, and Integration & Test teams.
• Lead acceptance and qualification testing for thermal, vibration, shock, TVAC, and EMI environments.
• Develop Python-based test software using equipment-control libraries such as PyVISA.
• Investigate test failures, implement risk mitigations, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to RF architecture and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience with RF test equipment, including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, function generators, power meters, and power supplies.
• Experience with RF components and complete transmit or receive signal chains.
• Proficiency with Python, familiarity with PyVISA, and experience with Unix environments.
• Experience establishing HITL testbeds, managing configuration control, developing test cases, and operating environmental test equipment.
• Must be a U.S. person authorized to work in the United States and access export-controlled technology.
