Software Developer (PHP/Laravel)

Location: Hybrid in Kanata, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

• Build production features from customer problems and product requirements in collaboration with Product Managers.
• Design Laravel service API endpoints, model data, and develop queued jobs and integrations.
• Use AI coding assistants and agents to explore code, prototype, implement, test, and improve delivery practices.
• Participate in architecture and feature planning, code reviews, and continuous improvements to development and release processes.
• Champion a clear, fast user experience and share knowledge with teammates.

Requirements

• Production software development experience in a language and framework.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development and the ability to review, test, and own generated code.
• Willingness to learn new languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Clear written communication and a collaborative mindset focused on respect and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work in the hybrid Kanata, Ontario location.

Nice to have

• PHP and Laravel experience, especially API development.
• Experience with production SaaS products and scalable product development.
• TypeScript, Angular, HTML, CSS, Nx, Webpack, NPM, Jest, or Playwright experience.
• Release management and CI/CD experience.
• Experience building features on top of LLM APIs.
