Senior Product Manager (AI)

Base pay in Amsterdam, Netherlands: €100,400–€167,300 annually.

What you will do

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for editorial decision-support solutions after peer review.
• Lead delivery in a cross-functional agile squad, managing priorities, backlog health, and product releases.
• Partner with scientific editors to understand decision-making challenges and translate insights into product improvements.
• Collaborate with data scientists to evaluate AI capabilities such as review synthesis, contradiction detection, and evidence linking.
• Define KPIs and OKRs, run research and experimentation, and assess build, buy, or partner options.
• Ensure transparency, accountability, human oversight, and auditability while aligning Publishing, Technology, Operations, and Research Integrity stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant product management experience covering product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery.
• Experience working with AI and machine learning products, including generative AI, retrieval-augmented generation, or agent-based workflows.
• Strong analytical, research, experimentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating with data scientists and translating model evaluations into product decisions.
• Understanding of technical concepts and architectural trade-offs, with the ability to work effectively with engineering teams.
• Experience in scholarly publishing, editorial workflows, peer review, or research integrity is advantageous but not required.
