What you will do

• Prepare tissue samples and slides through processing, paraffin embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Partner with pathologists and laboratory colleagues to support accurate and timely pathological analysis.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot histology laboratory equipment.
• Maintain documentation according to SOPs, good documentation practices, and regulatory guidelines.
• Support compliance with local, federal, CLIA, and CAP requirements.
• Contribute to study setup, process improvements, inventory management, safety, quality, housekeeping, and cross-functional projects.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 2–3 years of experience in a histopathology laboratory or related discipline.
• ASCP qualification or equivalent and at least one year of experience in a clinical, research, academic, commercial, or production laboratory.
• Detailed knowledge of histology techniques, laboratory equipment, clinical testing procedures, staining methods, and applicable regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, resolve process issues, manage multiple tasks, and maintain accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk frequently, perform close eye work, and occasionally work in cold temperatures.
