Senior Warehouse Operative Specialist (Robotics)

Location: On-site in Vancouver, Canada. Regular warehouse activity and material handling are required, including handling items up to 23 kg / 50 lb. Some schedule flexibility may be required for critical robot builds and time-sensitive deliveries.

What you will do

• Own receiving, storage, inventory control, cycle counting, kitting, and material movement for the Vancouver robotics site.
• Establish and improve warehouse organization, labelling, location structures, and material-flow processes.
• Receive deliveries, verify purchase orders, inspect materials, record receipts, and maintain traceability for serialized, lot-controlled, ESD-sensitive, and high-value components.
• Maintain real-time inventory records in JIRA and tracking systems, investigate discrepancies, and monitor stock levels and safety stock.
• Pick, stage, and deliver BOM-based kits for prototype robot builds while identifying shortages and build risks with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Planning.
• Prepare outbound shipments and inter-site transfers between Vancouver, London, and Boston, including shipping and customs documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on warehouse, stores, inventory control, or material operations experience in a technical industry such as robotics, electronics, aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or industrial automation.
• Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, prototype, R&D, NPI, or low-volume/high-complexity production environments.
• Strong experience with inventory control, cycle counting, stock reconciliation, variance investigation, kitting, and issuing materials against BOMs and build schedules.
• Ability to work with part numbers, technical documentation, engineering drawings, component traceability, and technical assemblies.
• Practical Excel or Google Sheets experience, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and inventory reporting.
• Ability to work independently, maintain accuracy under changing priorities, and collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Supply Chain.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3PL providers, carriers, and import/export documentation.
• Familiarity with WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods requirements.
• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification.
• Experience with Lean or 5S practices.
• APICS CPIM or an equivalent supply chain, logistics, warehouse, or inventory certification.
