Technical Lead - Hybrid Power & Energy Storage Systems (Energy Storage)

Location: Onsite five days a week in Mossville, Illinois or Griffin, Georgia. Domestic relocation assistance is offered. The role may require up to 15% travel.

Salary: $128,470–$192,710 per year

What you will do

• Define system architectures and technical roadmaps for future hybrid power products.
• Lead development and integration of generators, battery energy storage systems, inverters, microgrids, energy management systems, and site-level controls.
• Guide requirements development, design reviews, validation activities, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams worldwide to deliver solutions aligned with customer and business needs.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across multiple projects and teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and support standards, regulatory, and certification requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in hybrid energy systems, battery energy storage systems, microgrids, energy management systems, distributed energy resources, power electronics, or system architecture.
• Experience leading complex technical projects and influencing engineering direction.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, controls, inverter technologies, or power distribution systems.
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Simulink, PowerFactory, PSCAD, or similar engineering tools.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, project management, product development, testing, and troubleshooting skills.
