Senior Manager, Operations (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in El Dorado Hills, California, United States

Annual salary: $114,000–$140,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations to meet production plans, shipment commitments, customer requirements, and site priorities.
• Translate operating objectives into departmental targets, standard work, visual management, and accountability across managers, supervisors, and associates.
• Drive daily management, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, yield, capacity, and flow.
• Optimize labor, equipment, materials, capacity, inventory, and workflow in partnership with Logistics and Supply Chain.
• Partner with Quality and Regulatory to resolve nonconformances, deviations, CAPAs, audit findings, and recurring quality issues.
• Manage budgets, headcount, overtime, operating costs, forecasting, capital planning, team development, succession planning, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in business, engineering, or a related science field plus 2 years of people management experience, or 8+ years of directly related experience combined with 2+ years of people management experience.
• 5+ years of experience in gas chromatography instrumentation and separations, including extensive knowledge of gas chromatography column production.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 standards and lean principles.
• Competence in production planning, capacity management, cost management, quality systems, and cross-functional operations processes.
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain, cost management, Logistics, operational data analysis, performance metrics, budgeting, and financial drivers.
