Emergency Room Tech - Part Time Nights

Location: 1000 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, Illinois, United States; onsite night shift

Salary: USD 22.58–29.35 per hour

What you will do

• Collect urine, stool, and sputum specimens and perform laboratory tests, including phlebotomy, glucose testing, pregnancy testing, and rapid strep testing.
• Obtain and document vital signs, perform 12-lead EKGs, recognize basic arrhythmias, and manage cardiac monitoring admissions and discharges.
• Provide wound care, dressings, bandages, splints, oxygen support, and basic IV or Heplock assistance.
• Assist nurses and physicians with examinations, minor procedures, patient positioning, ambulation, feeding, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Transport patients, blood products, equipment, and belongings; coordinate diagnostic testing and results with internal and external healthcare departments.
• Maintain emergency department records, logs, statistics, physician schedules, supplies, and computer orders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or EMT-B certification.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work part-time night shifts.
• Background check required for newly hired team members.
