Director of GLA Investment Operations

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid

Salary: $98,000–$132,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Lead institutional, intermediary, and sub-advisory investment operations across separately managed accounts, commingled funds, collective investment trusts, and ETFs.
• Act as the escalation point for operational issues and coordinate timely resolution of critical matters.
• Maintain APX/Advent portfolio accounting processes, including reconciliations, trade settlement, security setup, pricing, valuations, corporate actions, automation, and reporting workflows.
• Coordinate operational coverage, deadlines, cross-training, policies, procedures, and control checklists.
• Support GIPS-compliant composites, portfolio performance data, performance attribution, and portfolio risk statistics.
• Resolve data quality and client account reconciliation issues, manage account changes, and prepare monthly and quarterly client reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 10–12+ years of experience in investment management operations or a related field.
• Experience with investment accounting, reconciliation, and performance analytics systems; Advent experience is preferred.
• Understanding of complex investment and portfolio management products; alternative investments are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, prioritization, deadline management, teamwork, and self-motivation skills.
