HSE Lead

Location: Lancaster, New York, USA, with travel and support required at the Lancaster and Batavia locations

Salary: USD 60,000–75,000 yearly

What you will do

• Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental programs, policies, procedures, and standards.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including permits, records, reporting, and waste management.
• Lead internal and external audits, address non-conformances, and conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and change management.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, coordinate emergency response planning and drills, and maintain emergency equipment.
• Deliver HSE training for employees and contractors, manage contractors, and lead safety committee meetings.
• Track and report safety and sustainability metrics, manage HSE supplies, and support workers’ compensation and insurance cases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science and required HSE certifications.
• 5–7 years of experience with health, safety, and environmental management systems.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Demonstrated experience leading HSE programs or teams.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, coaching, influencing, and project management skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Lancaster and provide travel and support at the Batavia location.
