EHS Specialist (Electric Vehicles)

Location: Garden Grove, California, United States; onsite second-shift role

Salary: $110,000–$150,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Support the creation and implementation of EHS programs across manufacturing and research and development facilities.
• Conduct risk assessments, Job Hazard Analyses, ergonomic evaluations, and workplace audits across vehicle assembly and high-voltage battery operations.
• Co-chair the site EHS Safety Committee, mentor Safety Champions, and strengthen employee engagement.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near-misses, and safety observations using 5-Why and Fishbone analysis, and track corrective actions to closure.
• Deliver training on hazard recognition, lockout/tagout, high-voltage safety, and emergency response.
• Manage hazardous materials, emergency preparedness, regulatory reporting, and leading and lagging safety metrics.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in environmental health and safety roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for training and safety guidance.
• Ability and willingness to work second-shift hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Experience with EHS management software such as VelocityEHS for incident tracking and SDS management.
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, health, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
