Full-Stack Software Engineer (Vue)

Location: Remote within the United States; California and New York metro areas excluded

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and benefits

Automox provides a cloud-native IT operations platform for automatically configuring, patching, and securing endpoints.

What you will do

• Build and ship customer-facing features across Vue interfaces, backend services, APIs, and database models.
• Develop services with Laravel, Spring Boot, TypeScript, AWS Lambda, and REST APIs.
• Design and document APIs with pagination, filtering, and scalable error handling.
• Instrument releases with logging and metrics, monitor production behavior, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and Quality Engineers to turn requirements into technical plans and shippable increments.
• Write unit and end-to-end tests, review code, improve technical debt, contribute to the component library, and participate in on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Three or more years of experience building and shipping enterprise web applications.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and a modern component framework; Vue is preferred.
• Server-side development experience with an object-oriented language; Java with Spring Boot and TypeScript on Node.js are preferred.
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including SQL and query scalability.
• Experience writing automated tests for shipped code.
• Strong written communication and the ability to work effectively in a distributed company.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue 3, Vitest, Cypress, Laravel, PHP 8, AWS Lambda, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience using AI coding tools with rigorous code review standards.
