Senior Full Stack Engineer (Vue/Nuxt.js)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; unavailable in California, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Must overlap at least 5–6 hours with an 8–5 or 9–6 MST schedule.

Salary: $90–$120 per hour

What you will do

• Assess the existing production codebase for security, scalability, performance, data protection, architecture, and reliability risks.
• Take increasing ownership of the platform’s architecture, technical health, production readiness, security, and operational stability.
• Build and own end-to-end features across data modeling, backend and Vue frontend development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Design PostgreSQL schemas, queries, indexes, migrations, and Prisma models, and integrate services including Stripe Connect, LiveKit, Twilio, Zoom, Anthropic, and pgvector.
• Review external engineering work, support knowledge transfer, validate deliverables, and manage technical risks and production incidents.
• Design and execute functional, regression, load, and smoke testing, while contributing to AI/LLM architecture such as RAG, agents, context management, and evaluation.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of software engineering experience with strong production experience in Vue.js and relational database design.
• Strong backend engineering experience with ownership of architecture, databases, APIs, integrations, infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Experience evaluating production applications for security, scalability, reliability, performance, vulnerabilities, and sensitive customer data protection.
• Experience owning production readiness, incident response, release processes, technical QA, and critical issue resolution.
• Experience reviewing engineers’ or external partners’ architecture, code quality, testing, security, scalability, and production readiness.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment and take increasing technical ownership.

Nice to have

• PostgreSQL, Nuxt.js, and Prisma experience.
• Production experience with AI/LLM architecture, RAG, agents, context management, model integrations, or similar systems.
• Background in regulated industries or high-volume e-commerce.
• Experience using AI coding agents on production codebases.
