Senior Data Engineer (Aviation)

Location: Dublin, Ireland; hybrid role with three days per week onsite

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Databricks pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and delivering data.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows and Airflow orchestration for reliable automated delivery.
• Manage cloud data platforms across AWS, Azure, and GCP, focusing on performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Implement data quality, governance, lineage, and monitoring frameworks using tools such as Atlan and Monte Carlo.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI teams, engineers, architects, and product owners to deliver analytics-ready datasets and data models.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on Databricks experience in a production environment.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, data lakes, data warehousing, ETL tools, and BI solutions.
• Experience with data quality and governance tools, including Atlan or Monte Carlo.
• Solid knowledge of data modelling, analytical problem-solving, communication, and collaboration.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience delivering complex data pipelines and data warehouse solutions in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with Scaled Agile planning and execution.
