Assistant Chief Engineer

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America. Full-time onsite role. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Organize, monitor, and supervise maintenance and repair activities for a Class A commercial property.
• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, boiler, hot water, and building control systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, system tests, operational rounds, and equipment adjustments while minimizing disruption to tenants.
• Manage maintenance personnel, vendors, subcontractors, work orders, service requests, invoices, and service-level agreement reporting.
• Monitor vendor performance, contract compliance, certificates of insurance, operating budgets, capital budgets, and monthly property reports.
• Maintain records, tools, supplies, hazardous-material procedures, and a clean and safe work environment while supporting client requests.

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent education and experience, with at least four years of relevant experience.
• At least five years of field experience operating, repairing, and maintaining commercial mechanical systems.
• At least three years of experience managing and supervising maintenance personnel.
• Strong experience troubleshooting, operating, replacing, repairing, and maintaining large, complex mechanical systems and controls.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customer representatives, prepare reports, and interpret blueprints, specifications, BAS control drawings, and building operations manuals.
• State and US EPA-approved universal refrigeration certification is required, along with current US work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with boilers, chillers, and control systems similar to those at the customer's facility.
• Commercial kitchen equipment repair experience.
• Strong experience with Google Suite.
