Process Safety Engineer

Location: Cinisello Balsamo, Italy; hybrid work with two smart-working days per week and travel to client sites in Italy and abroad.

What you will do

• Manage process safety projects of varying complexity from technical requirements through final delivery.
• Lead and coordinate HAZOP, LOPA, QRA, ATEX explosion-risk assessments, Dust Hazard Analysis, and chemical reaction risk studies.
• Define project scopes, prepare technical specifications, plan activities, estimate timelines, and oversee assignments.
• Verify and approve technical studies according to company standards.
• Coach and mentor junior resources and support their technical development.
• Deliver client training courses and technical workshops, participate in conferences, and support business development.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering and/or Industrial Safety Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in process safety.
• Professional English proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of chemical, petrochemical, and pharmaceutical processes.
• Advanced knowledge of risk-analysis methodologies, especially HAZOP and QRA.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Matlab, and Visual Basic; strong communication, analytical, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge of additional foreign languages.
