HCC Risk Adjustment Coder (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Review, analyze, and code diagnoses in patient medical records according to client-specific project guidelines.
• Apply ICD-10-CM, DRG, reimbursement, regulatory, and accreditation coding requirements.
• Translate clinical documentation into precise codes representing patient conditions and severity.
• Maintain a minimum coding accuracy rate of 95%.
• Work across multiple client projects and complete additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of HCC coding experience.
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 and strong knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, pharmacology, and disease processes.
• AHIMA certification such as RHIA, RHIT, or CCS, or AAPC certification such as CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, or CRC. CPC-A candidates are accepted only with CRC certification.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment, meet deadlines, follow instructions, and manage time effectively.
• Ability to work remotely, process multiple client projects, and commit to 40 hours per week.
• Must be located in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available.
