Senior QA Engineer (Gaming)

What you will do

• Build and own comprehensive, risk-based test plans for complex features and system integrations.
• Perform complex manual and automated testing across client and server components, including API, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Analyze test results, identify defect root causes, manage the defect lifecycle, and report product quality metrics.
• Contribute to test automation frameworks for API and client-side testing.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to establish quality expectations and improve testing processes and tooling.
• Coordinate with offshore testers and mentor QA engineers on end-to-end testing, problem-solving, and career development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional QA experience testing complex, distributed systems.
• Expert knowledge of SDLC, QA methodologies, and closed-system, grey-box, and integration testing.
• Strong skills in RESTful API testing, SQL/database fundamentals, and client-side testing.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, identify risks, make pragmatic decisions, and solve problems effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts, influence collaborators, and lead quality initiatives.
• Demonstrated continuous learning and experience driving process improvements.

Nice to have

• Experience in the gaming industry.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins.
• Experience with performance and load testing tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools such as New Relic or Redash.
